The book I am reading is titled "The Brothers" based on the event of the Boston Marathon Bombings. The two brothers grew up in a Russian family and grew up in a hard time. Their village in Russia and their neighboring villages got bombed and attacked often. This was one of the reasons their family packed up and moved to America. Jahar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev are the two brothers responsible for the attack. As kids the were both shy caring kids and Tamerlan was even scared for things like fireworks because of the bombs that had destroyed their villages. The Tsarnaev family moved to America for a better life and the parents (mostly the mother) wanted a better education for both their sons. When they returned back to Russia a few years later to visit the found out the Anzor's (Jahar and Tamerlan's Dad) father had died in a bombing attack. Looking back at it now the attack he died in was much like the one they planned out for the Boston Marathon. The first news of this attack also broke in the Boston Globe, which could have been a reason why they chose that location. Their mother was a extremist and was very passionate about her religion. She swayed Tamerlan's vision of good and bad. Tamerlan then was the one who almost forced Jahar to go along with his plan of the bombing. Many news outlets and journalists believe Jahar would have never done it alone and was very much persuaded by his older brother Tamerlan. Tamerlan had a history of crime also. He had killed 3 of his roommates on the anniversary of 9/11 and slit their throats from ear to ear and filled the gash with marijuana leaves and stems. No one knew that it had been Tamerlan until after he was already dead after the bombings. Jahar though had never had a history of crime except for drug use (marijuana). The Brothers tells about their family life before when they were children and after the bombing.
